Immediately following the Kansas City Chiefs' thrilling overtime win over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII, both teams opened atop the betting board as the co-favorites to win it all next season.

Now, with the NFL season on the horizon, both teams are still above the rest of the competition, but the Chiefs have separated themselves as the lone favorite at +500.

The Browns find themselves in the middle of the pack in terms of Super Bowl odds, but their chances presumably took a hit when it was announced that star running back Nick Chubb would begin the season on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list

Since that announcement, Cleveland's odds have moved to +4000 from +3500.

Chubb is recovering from a season-ending knee injury suffered in Week 2 of last season, and he will miss at least the first four games of the upcoming season.

From 2019-2022, Chubb, 28, racked up four consecutive 1,000-yard rushing seasons for the Browns and four straight Pro Bowl nods.

Another team hoping to eke its way up the oddsboard are the Cowboys, who are embroiled in a contract stand-off with their quarterback Dak Prescott.

However, they did finally end their impasse with star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, who has agreed to a four-year, $136 million extension with Dallas.

In the wake of that news, the Cowboys' odds shifted slightly to +1900 from +1800.

Lamb has put together three consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons in Dallas and was first-team All-Pro in 2023.

Super Bowl LIX will be played at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Feb. 9, 2025, and will be broadcast on FOX and the FOX Sports app.
